Saga Interiors

Mahsa Afsharpour had been running Saga Interiors on nights and weekends for nearly eight years while working full time in corporate America. Her talent was undeniable and her taste was elevated, but her business structure held her back. She charged hourly, her margins were unclear, and scope creep was constant. Clients questioned her fees because she had no framework to support them. She was overextended, exhausted, and earning a fraction of what her time and expertise were worth.

Despite being in a top luxury market, she was stuck in a cycle of burnout and undervaluation. She wanted clarity, confidence, and a path that would allow Saga Interiors to flourish so she could ultimately step into design full time.

Where We Began

The Strategy

Erica created a custom pricing and process strategy through her Palm Beach Intensive. The strategy encompassed:

I.

Pricing Model + Fee Structure

Build a complete pricing model and fee structure aligned with the San Francisco luxury market so every project begins with clarity, confidence, and authority.

IV.

Proposal + Presentation Strategy

Create polished proposals and a confident presentation process so pricing is communicated with clarity, leadership, and professionalism.

II.

Minimums + Service Suite

Establish firm wide design fee and furnishings minimums, along with a refined service suite, to attract aligned full service clients and eliminate small scope requests.

V.

Structured Sales Process

Install a step by step sales journey from inquiry to signed contract, supported by copy and paste email templates for a seamless, elevated client experience.

III.

Signature Product Pricing System

Develop a margin and product pricing strategy using Erica’s signature framework to protect profit while offering meaningful client value.

VI.

Website Transparency + Client Journey

Refine the client journey and add website transparency to pre qualify leads, reinforce expertise, and ensure the process matches the level of work she delivers.

The Transformation

Within weeks of implementing her new model, Mahsa landed her two largest projects to date, including a nearly 100,000 design fee with a 315,000 furnishings minimum. She went from inconsistent hourly billing to structured, profitable full service projects with aligned clients and real margins. She closed her first whole home furnishings project with her new pricing, increased budgets, reduced volume, and eliminated problem clients who drained her time and energy.

Her business now has clarity, predictability, and purpose. With structure behind her talent, she is positioned to leave her corporate career in January and step into Saga Interiors full time. She leads her clients with confidence, protects her process, and runs her firm like a CEO. The instability and stress are gone, replaced with a scalable path, profitable projects, and a business that finally reflects the designer she is.

In Mahsa's Words

“I spent years grinding, exhausted, and undervalued. I knew I had the talent, but I had no structure and no idea how to actually make money doing what I loved. Erica changed everything. The way she positioned my pricing and built my framework was truly transformative. For the first time, I feel clear, supported, and in control of my future. I finally have a real business I can stand behind, and the relief of that is something I cannot put into words.”
